Hello and welcome to the Marra Senki BJJ Academy website! My name is Professor Luiz Sergio Corrêa, from Brazil. I have been practicing Jiu-Jitsu for 29 years, 19 of which I have been a blackbelt. I received my blackbelt from Paulo Strauch, former instructor from the Reilson Gracie Academy. I am also one of the few black belts to hold a Professor diploma that is signed by Carlos Gracie Junior, Robson Gracie, Osvaldo Alves and Master Mansour. I am a former member of Brazilian Top Team and was an instructor to H.E. Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed (founder of the Abu Dhabi World Championships). John Troy Hanson
Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor
John started training BJJ while active duty in the U.S. Navy at The Arena Mixed Martial Arts in San Diego 2009. After completing U.S. Navy Dive School he was stationed in Virginia Beach, VA and assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 2. While there he trained in Combat Submission Wrestling and No Gi Jiu Jitsu at Eastern Academy of MMA until moving to Tidewater BJJ. He received his blue bet from Dan Gleaton and Jonathan Wertz before moving to his next duty station in Jacksonville FL. In Jacksonville John trained under Victor Huber and truly dedicated himself to the art. John earned both a purple and brown belt under Victor and competed relentlessly, defeating many brown and black belts throughout Florida in competition before relocating and joining the legendary Brazilian Top Team under Marcello Bergo. John Earned his Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu from Marcello Bergo prior to transferring to the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City. John now assist and coaches at Marra Senki Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Florida when he is not performing his duties to our nation.
